Why “Tanaar”

Named for a teacher who never runs out of patience.

The name comes fromtanár, the Hungarian word for teacher. Tanaar started as a tool for my Hungarian girlfriend, who was taking Dutch lessons and needed something for the days in between. A small, patient tutor that could give her regular practice and help Dutch feel a little more natural, one session at a time.
